An eSIM is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical SIM.
Currently, eSIM is supported on various devices such as iPhone Xs and above, Google Pixel 2 and above, iPad, high-end Samsung smartphones, and some Oppo's. Some laptop lines from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo support eSIM. Some smartwatches from Apple and Samsung also support eSIM.
You can check whether your phone supports eSIM or not by checking the information on the phone device. There are different ways to check depending on the phone's operating system.
For iOS: Open the Settings app. Select Settings -> Cellular -> If there is an “add eSIM” bar, then the version supports eSIM.
For Android: Open the Phone app and type *#06#, the device's IMEI number will immediately appear. Use this IMEI number to easily check your phone information.
After registering for the service with us and making payment successfully, you will receive information via email with instructions for activating the eSIM.
Yes. ESIM and physical SIM can be used at the same time on the same device.
This depends on the type of eSIM you use. There are 2 popular types of eSIM:
- Regular eSIM: has the same functions as a regular physical SIM, so you can use eSIM to make phone calls, send text messages, and access high-speed data packages.
- Data eSIM: only supports data packages and receiving incoming calls and messages, does not support sending messages and outgoing calls. You can make phone calls and send text messages on social networking applications such as Zalo, WhatsApp, WeChat,... using data packages that are provided when you buy the eSIM.
Therefore, please consider choosing the appropriate eSIM type depending on your needs.
