Important Update: Fast Track Service Not Applicable for Vietnamese Nationals at Tan Son Nhat & Noi Bai Airports (Effective 12 February 2026)

Last Update: Wednesday February 11, 2026

According to the latest official information we have received, Fast Track service is currently not supported for Vietnamese nationals at the following airports:

• Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City)

• Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi)

This regulation takes effect from 12 February 2026 and will remain in place until further notice.

Vietnamese passport holders now can proceed through the designated Autogate (automated immigration gate) system.

Who Will Use the Autogate System?

The Autogate system applies to the following categories:

1. Vietnamese Citizens with Electronic Chip Passports

Vietnamese citizens holding biometric (chip-based) passports can use the Autogate system directly without additional procedures.

2. Vietnamese Citizens with Non-Chip Passports (Green or Purple Cover)

Vietnamese citizens using non-biometric passports (green or purple cover) are required to:

• Register for Autogate usage once (either at the airport or via the online registration system).

• After successful registration, they may continue using Autogate for future entries and exits.

3. Vietnamese Citizens Using Border Pass Documents

Citizens traveling under land border agreement travel documents will also follow the designated automated or regulated entry procedures as instructed by immigration authorities.

4. Foreigners Holding Vietnamese Permanent or Temporary Residence Cards

Foreign nationals who hold:

• A Permanent Residence Card, or

• A Temporary Residence Card issued by Vietnam

must complete Autogate registration and meet all required documentation conditions according to immigration regulations before using the system.

What This Means for Fast Track Bookings

As Fast Track service is not applicable to Vietnamese nationals under this new regulation:

• Vietnamese passport holders can proceed via Autogate.

• Fast Track bookings for eligible Vietnamese travelers during this period cannot be provided at Tan Son Nhat or Noi Bai airports.
